We’re doing final mixes for ‘Make A Sound’… currently we’re trying to get ‘You Deserve Praise’ to sound awesome… mixing in Ben Kennedy’s harmony vocals and tweaking the rain stick (that’s right people, rain stick) at the beginning of the song. The song is a masterpiece. It is one of four 6+ minute songs on this album. We’re going to try to fill up the entire 74 minutes allowed on a single CD. Actually, we’re having to trim it down to make it all fit.

I’m very proud of this album. I think you’re going to love it. Chiceaux is hard at work finishing the artwork… which looks spectacular… a GIANT leap in quality and style. Chiceaux’s a genius. Tell him I said that.

Next week, we’ll send the songs to Barry Patterson to master them. Next week. I’m telling you, I never thought next week would get here. After the mastering process, we’ll send the final mastered mixes off to New York, where Zoran Busic will mass produce it for us. I’m telling you all of this so you’ll know what to pray for. No whammies!

I’m not fond of making predictions, so I won’t. But, I want to say this: aside from Jesus and Dana, this is the best thing I’ve ever been a part of. The diversity, the quality, the guests, the musicians, the heart of it all… Sean’s done an immaculate job on this one, folks. Tell him I said that. Heck, tell him yourself. It’s taken a while, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. We’re in the homestretch. And, now the real work begins…

We are going to try very hard to promote this album with more ferocity. We’ll need your help. I’ll ask for it specifically when we get to that point. Call your local radio stations now and begin to request Fike & Dana songs. And, please tell everyone you know to plan on being with us for our CD Release Concert on Friday, February 20^th at Vanguard Church… with special guests… Barry & Michelle Patterson… and Jared Anderson!
